Album of the Week • Interview with Adieu Gary Cooper's Nicola Scaringella

Geneva-based band Adieu Gary Cooper released ‘Outsiders’ on June 23rd on Casbah Records. It is their second full length LP and marks a significant departure from their more folky, bluesy past. Taking it’s name from the French translation of the 1965 novel ‘The Ski Bum’ by Romain Gary, in which a 21 year old man flees his native America and the war in Vietnam to fulfil his dreams in the Swiss Alps, 'Outsiders' is a 50 minute ode to a modern world devoid of the classic heros of yesteryear. It is also a feast of quality guitar playing. Nicolas Scaringella, lead singer from Adieu Gary Cooper, joined us on the phone for English for Everyone to share his thoughts on the matter.
