Papillons de Nuit (18-20th May 2018) is a music festival that, since its humble beginnings in 2001, has brought international musical talent to the small village of Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves in Normandy. Owen, from The Breakfast and Afternoon Shows, spoke to Muriel Jacquemin, who is in charge of communication for the festival. She told him about the evolution and expansion of the festival over its 18 editions: starting with the festival’s origin story (there actually was a ‘papillon de nuit’!) and going right through to the exciting artists of this year’s edition, including Jake Bugg, Juliette Armanet and many more. She also spoke to him about the role of volunteers in the festival, the kind of audiences they have and how they go about finding artists.
There are still tickets available for this year’s festival here!

While you’re here, why not head over to listen to some other festival interviews: the electronic Paco Tyson with organiser and DJ CHICHI , and the indie L’Ère de Rien with president of the organisation Nathan.
